Hello,

In Simmerville a parent has the same rights to a child, and the child has the same rights to a parent, no matter if they live in the same household or not. This requires that the relation is officially registered. A single mother will need to rgister the father, and the father would need to accept, so it is not possible to fool anyone unless the falsly reported father is supporting the lie. A child with no registered father will be cut off becoming the father's heir, so the mother will always register the child's father, if she knows.

You said you know about your child thanks to the public registration, so I don't understand how the mother will be able to get away with a false statement?
