I went salsa dancing at a little club downtown with the girls – and guy – from the garden committee. We had a fabulous time!

Currently we are working on getting together to start clearing out the old lot the garden will be started on. It is rather tiny, really, with a lot of trash and debris floating around... it will take work, but I am looking forward to it!

Ooh, Ginger, your garden sounds like it will be fantastic! Wouldn't that be grand, too, having a wedding in a beautiful garden? Mine was at some swanky downtown hotel... but that was always my dream, getting married outdoors. I'm sure your garden's section for wedding ceremonies will make some other sim gal's dream come true. ^.^

The committee was formed, basically, by my friend Ziva and I discussing the idea of a community garden, and deciding to try and put the idea into action. Ziva's mother, Audrey, was interested in helping (-and thank goodness for that – the woman is a creative genius!), then Dean joined (after a little prodding from his fellow firemen that he wasn't getting out in the community enough), then our neighborhood's spokessim, Valencia Cabrera, and now Penny O'Rourke, Breckin's foster mother, has decided to lend a hand.

You know, even though we have lots to do here in Simberry Fields, there aren't a whole lot of social groups who get together on a regular basis – I think that's what drew a lot of people to it, even if gardening isn't their forte! I know that a few of Dean's firemen friends have been sniffing around lately, too... but whether that's because of the gardening or the amount of women on the committee, I don't know. ~.^

Oh, and Ginger... I don't think Tobi joined because of his fondness of *gardening*. ~.^

>How did he react to waiting up for you? Has there been any
>change so far? Has he tried to make it up to you or
>has he been running home to mama?

Oh, he kept me up for another hour, at least, laying into me about making him wait. Again, even though he was ranting and raving and having a tantrum like a two-year-old, I spent the majority of the time with a smile on my face. That only made him more angry, but I could not help it.

And no, no real change. We haven't spoken since then, but I have gotten a few messages from his mother, so I know he has gone crying to her about his mean wife, but I have not bothered to return her calls.

>Give my thanks to Breckin's foster family. Without
>thier love and support during his early years, I doubt
>he would have been so well adjusted as he is now.

^.^ I will pass that along. You know, Penny and her husband haven't been able to have children of their own, but they have adopted four beautiful children who needed homes, and they are such good sims. They live right out on the water in Simberry-on-the-Lake, and they go camping together, they spend time every night around the campfire in their backyard, they garden together... such a nice little family. Penny was so disappointed when they were denied being able to adopt little Breckin, but I am sure it comforts her to know that he is with such a good family. ^.^
