I don't know much about fishing, but nobody seem to be answering you, so here it goes.

There is a marina right in the middle of town at Water and Queen. I see people fishing there. I also see people fishing off the causeway (hwy 7a) but I wouldn't do that with kids!!! And there is lots of room behind the Independent Grocery Store. (yes, our town is dumb enough to put a grocery store on prime lakefront.)

Now as for fish...I don't know what's in season but here is a list of fish guys TELL me they have caught.

Walleye, bass, muskie, pike, sunfish.
