 These all sound like good reads. I've looked at and picked up to buy many a Robert Jordan book but for some reason I always hesitated. I will take a look at the series you recommend though, thanks.

Have you ever read any of the Piers Anthony "Xanth" series? There is somewhere in the range of 25 books in the series so far and he is still pumping them out. They are lightly humored and entertaining.
