Well.....did you see that Qtr final match between Sth Africa and the Wallabies? The Sprinboks had 70% possession and the Wallabies did 230 tackles to the African 40 tackles.
Still the Aussies won and that must have given them heart and spirit to meet the NZ All Blacks on Sunday evening.

Don't forget that the Aussies beat the Kiwis only 4 weeks ago in Brisbane in the Tri-Nations Cup. So the Kiwis are meeting them with a slight psychological disadvantage.

AND that's not all. Also on Sunday afternoon, playing in Mewcastle (3 hours from Sydney) there is also a Rugby League Test match between Australia and N.Z.
There are a couple of All Blacks (Sonny Bill Williams & Brad Thorn) who have played in both codes of Rugby at Club and National level.

Then we have the Horse Racing with the Caulfield Cup offering total prizemoney of A$ 2 1/2 million dollars being run in Melbourne on Saturday. That's nothing compared to the Melbourne Cup to be run in the 1st week of November with A$3,000,000 going to the winner (1st). All that $$$ in one race?

All the above events are televised live on TV.
So, are the Australian people sports crazy?
I think so.
The whole week's newspapers have been full of ads with alcohol advertisements - beer, wine & alcopop (mixed spirit drinks like rum & coke, etc) on sale.
No doubt the bottle shops, pubs and clubs are hoping the spectator traffic will sit in their lounge chairs the whole weekend or go to their favourite watering holes to watch and DRINK away the televised events.
What a society? Hmmm.....

What about poor Malaysia's Bolehroos succumbing to a 5-0 loss in Football to the Socceroos re their World Cup qualifier last Friday?

Finally...here are some anti-All Blacks' insults to finish off.....all offence intended!

What's the difference between a tea-bag and the All Blacks?
A tea bag stays in the cup longer.

What do you call 15 guys sitting around the TV watching the Rugby World Cup final?
The All Blacks.

Did you hear NZ Post has just recalled their latest batch of stamps?
They had photos of All Blacks on them and people couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

And the Apek Special......
What's the difference between Graham Henry (NZ Coach) and Viagra?
At least Viagra gives you a semi!

UP THE WALLABIES!!!
