Doc,

I am afraid your friend is wrong. The fact that the hacker could correspond with Ray is proof enough that he has commandeered your email account.

You think you do not have vital information in your mail. But, amongst other things, the hacker is interested in your contacts. This puts all your friends at risk.

Make sure you don't do any online banking transactions or make online purchases using your credit card.

Best is to discard your email account. Go back to Yahoo and check whether or not it is possible to bar your account completely. Otherwise the hacker may make use of your yahoo email account for transactions which you may be held responsible. Can anyone advise on this ?
