To compose even a short poem
Takes a lot of time
At my Golden Years
I hope it is not a crime
Oh look at my silly poem
Simply putting in a word
Hoping that it would rhyme…

Now I am still working
All cooked up in a room
Far far away from home
But I am still very happy
‘Cos I get to see my twin grandsons
That almost look like me

That’s how my life will be
Still flying before I turn sixty five
I tell my mother, what will be, will be...
And continue to stay alive
Yes, that's how life will be

Please do not laugh at me
Even though the above does not rhyme
Or it may sound silly
Trying to be a poet is difficult
‘Cos I am only a rookie!
