It's a blessing teaching so young kids. I wrote quite a few articles on this topic in my forum. Now I like to share my composition:

MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL

The luminous moon reflected an imperfect round;
My family and my friends were all not around.
Children carrying multi-coloured latterns were absent in
the street;
The mooncake, for my age and taste, was simply too sweet.
In the quietude, I rang my wife, and bless'd;
I yearn'd to surf on the wind by her side, I profess'd.
Alone but not lonely, I danced solo with her other shadow;
The breeze jived among the trees outside my window.
How my little darling shared and spent her festive night?
She joggled happily holding her lattern but there's no
spectacular sight.
The moon constantly changes its nocturnal shape, and often
hide;
Separation and union are the ebb and flow of life's tide.
