Doc, Captain

Both of you write well in your chosen subject matter. You should publish your work, but if you think it's too troublesome, then compile them and pass them on to your family. Captain, there must have been many unique moments in flying or visiting new places around the world, that one day, your grandkids will want to know.

Myself, in addition to our three books on aspects of Chinese history in Victoria, Australia, we are continuing with our research and aim to publish them whenever they are ready. Also, we are in the process of "maintaining" (as that's the proper word in Chinese) our Zupu/Jiapu (Family history book), continuing where my father left off (and he in turn was continuing from the work of his grandfather). Aim is to present the finished work to our relatives and at our Clan Conference, in 2011(Family history books are never finished. I guess I am fortunate that I have found my links back in China, reconnected with my relatives at my ancestral village, the web master for our San Francisco Clan Home Page, and when requested, able to offer help and advice for our Clan Members interested in tracing their roots.

Who says semi retirement is sitting around, playing golf, or just flying a kite with the grandkids (which I did recently, except that the kites were commercialy designed kite which flew very well, but not quite the same as the ones I remember when we were young in Klang).

Ah, memories.

Meanwhile, where is our Silk? Aiyoo, working too hard again -- no, I mean too busy again -- no I mean he is still on a Case -- no, not beer.

Regards, LG
