Rudd was an autocratic leader who "had" to make every decision - which led to Cabinet dissension.
The Government was wasting a lot of public funds (up to AUS$5 billion) by reckless spending and non- supervision of their so-called stimulus spending.

When the Labor Government came into power, they had about $10 billion in surplus. Within 2 1/2 years, we now have a $50 billion deficeit.

With the previous Coalition Government 2 1/2 years ago, the number of refugee boats (from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, etc) numbered about 3 in the whole year. When Rudd came into power, there are already 50+ boats this year alone. Australian border security has been compromised and refugees are free loading the economy.
Do you know that every refugee in Australia after processing gets social security worth AUD$670 a fortnight, free medicals/doctors/hospitals and sleeps in 4 star hotels and get extra aid money to help them find jobs and settle in this country?
It is no wonder Australia is becoming a magnet for illegal migration!!

As you all know, I believe that climate change is absolutely over exaggerated and does not have the science behind the arguements. I am against too much 'green' actions and tree huggers.
Rudd had a climate change policy which would have spelled economic disaster for this country and lined the pockets of such idiots like ex-U.S Vice President Al Gore (biggest con man in weather prediction).
After Copenhagen last year, the Australian public woke up to the irrational platform of the Labor Party with businesses and general population seeing through the ill conceived con job and the Opposition refused to pass the legislation in the Senate.

It is also no wonder the Australian voters were turning off their PM and showed this in opinion polls.
Do not be mistaken that Rudd stood down for the sake of his party.
He was forced to declare a leadership spill and the Labor Party parliamentarians were going to vote between Rudd and his deputy Julia Gillard on Tuesday morning.
Then realising that he (Rudd) was not going to get the numbers, he resigned before the actual vote. This was the final nail in the coffin for the spineless, gutless, most ineffective PM this country has ever experienced.
GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH!

BTW, you will note in Australia if the politicians get too bad and lousy, we vote them out OR even dispose of them internally. The politicains do not get the chance to sue for slander, keep on acting corrupt without fear of being caught or worse still, throw Opposition staff from the higher floors of buildings.

Now, which country is 'confused'?
