Are you not patronising the asian groceries stores run by Chinese and Vietnamese ? I have visited some of these stores in Melbourne. To my surprise, they also sell durians packed in small boxes. The durian seeds have been removed presumably to save freight charges. The ones I got here in Melbourne are the Penang varieties and the Siamese mon thong (golden pillows). Export quality and the price is quite competitive.
