Author: Diamond Brett Healey
Subject: Back to the Bookstore

*The camera is looking strait down through a Japanese shopping mall. The people walking past are mainly Japanese and the shops are mostly electronic shops due to the Japanese electronic market. The camera waits for a little while until a guy dressed in a purple suit with a black under shirt and sunglasses on, storms around the corner, taking it widely, bumping into a few small Asian women on the way. Then he gets closer to the camera and we can see that it is noticeably Diamond Brett Healey. We is now close enough to see his face, he is mumbling something to him self, but we cant quite understand it yet. Now Healey is just a few feet away from the camera and begins to turn left away from the camera. The camera man follows him and we can see him from the side of his head as he continues to mumble, now we can understand what he is saying.*

“Stupid piece of… Gyon thinks he can… just cos he’s never written his own… thinks he can…”

*This mumbling continues as he walks along. Then he takes a right walking away from the camera into a bookstore. He looks around a bit and then walks up to the counter where nobody is standing, then he begins to yell and bang on the service bell an the table.*

“Hey! Can I get some damn service hear? What kind of a bookshop is this anyway? Don’t you Japanese have a staff?”

*Then after Healey finishes banging on the bell at the counter, a young white man walks out from the back storage area and greets Healey.*

Young Man: “Good day sir can I… hey your ummm… Brett Healey right?”

*The young man is an American. Healey then answers him.*

“Yes, I am ‘Diamond’ Brett Healey young man. I heard that Gyon was in hear a few days ago.”

“Yeah, nice guy.”

[mimicking] “Yeah, nice guy. Shut up sport, now tell me what he said about my book.”

“Ummm, well… he bought a copy, and… I don’t think he said much critical about it.

“Oh all right, I guess he’s at home right now reading up on my glorious CWF history, hey mate?”

“Hah, yeah probably.”

“Ha Ha Ha, yeah I guess he’s looking at it dreaming if he could be like me someday hey?

“Yeah… must be Henley”

“Um, its Healey.”

“Sorry I must be getting you confused with the CWF commentator.”

“What? How can you get an athlete like me confused with a fat commentator like Henley?”

“Well He’s more well known than you…”

“More well known? Hey listen sport, nobody is more well known than Brett Healey. And by the way kid, what did you say about my book when you were talking to your boy friend Gyon?”

“My boy friend’s back in… I mean um what did you say?”

*Healey give the boy a strange look.*

[louder] “What did you say about my book sport?”

“Well, first I said, that it was written by an idiot.”

“Are you calling Avwardo Sanchez an idiot? I searched for days, weeks, to find the best writer, and Avwardo was perfect.”

“And then I said, that you didn’t know the difference between a biography and an autobiography.”

Are you trying to say that Diamond Brett Healey doesn’t know his vocabulary? A biography is the writing or production of a person’s career, and an autobiography is just a biography written by that person. Now how’s that for ya mate?”

“[softly] Yeah I bet you researched that afterwards.”

“Huh? Speak up boy, but what else did you say about my book kid?”

“Well I said it was one of the shortest books ever written because you have had no experience in wrestling.”

“Shortest book written? Hey 23 pages is a lot for a non-English speaking writer, give him a break. And on top of that, my career has been short but sweet as hell, and I have experience in more than just climbing all over guys in a ring like you do every night, I was only ever beaten by a dead guy and that’s all. Plus, whats Gyon done? Hmmm let me see, oh nothing. His clothes are revolting, see this suit? Its $800, and these Glasses, $250. And what’s he got? A ponytail? For god sake what sort of a statement is that?”

“You shouldn’t speak like that about JYD.”

“Sorry…And I bet that you made some smart-ass comment on the words to picture ratio, am I right?”

“Well actually, I said that we didn’t know what category to list it under, and that it should be with the children’s section with the amount of pictures the book has.”

“I don’t know how somebody could say something like that. My book is for all ages, and who wouldn’t want to see pictures of me? On every page there is a picture of me in a new pose, from the champion pose to the thinking pose, it’s all there, and I know that’s what the ladies want to see more of. In fact, I’m gonna give you girls at home a preview right now.”

*Healey turns away from the young boy and towards the camera, he takes off his sun glasses and hangs his purple jacket over the young boy’s shoulder. He is wearing a black muscle shirt, then he drops to one knee and turns to the side, he flexes his right arm first while running his hand through his hair with his left hand. Then he squares up to the camera and flexes both arms and smiles into the camera. He stands up and reaches for his jacket from the boy, who is smiling, and gives him another weird look, he puts the jacket back on and does up the buttons, and puts his glasses on his head and shakes his shoulders a bit, then he begins to talk to the camera again.*

“I guess even some of the guys find my poses rather intriguing too.”

*Healey then turns back to the boy*

“Ok, now that your… *cough* aroused, would you mind saying what else you said about my great book?”

“Well I did say that you were no athlete.”

“Ok, did you not pay any attention to what I just performed for the ladies… and guys? Well anyway sport, if you really think my book sucked so much, why isn’t it some crazy discount like 50% off then?”

“That’s true it isn’t 50% off.”

“So you were joking with me the whole time hey? Oh you Americans, you’re always kidding around.”

“No, I wasn’t, its actually 90% off.”

“Ha Ha, there you go again, always kidding.”

“No really, 90% off, and a 2 for one deal.”

“Ooo, almost got me there mate.”

*Healey is laughing, but he notices that the boy isn’t laughing with him. Healey stops laughing and noticed the small sign on the pin up board behind him witch says, “2 for one and 90% off all copies of Tomorrow When Greatness Was Born”. Healey looks around and doesn’t see the book anywhere on the shelves. He knows now that the boy wasn’t joking at all. He then continues.*

“Hold on mate, 90% off $79.95 is…um…plus the 2 for one deal is… have you got a calculator? Hey, a lot of hard work was put into that book, and if your just gonna throw it out then… then… you should just throw out all the other wrestler biography’s, like Klaus Steinman’s crappy excuse for a book. So next time you see your buddy Gyon, tell him that on Wednesday, he would have read his last good book, and that he’s gonna need to turn to the bible to see the light after our match, before he goes crazy and kills him self like JYD did… you heard me sport, just like JYD did.”

*Healey stairs over the counter at the young boy for a bit, then winks and smiles at him, then places his sun glasses over his eyes again, and walks out of the shop with a grin on his face, then he disappears down the shopping mall and out the front doors.*
