Shelly you read my mind. I have done a lot of research on meth and I know that the recovery rate is 5%. I started doing Meth Awareness assemblies for our schools 2 years ago because there is no information or education in our town, so I have done a lot of research. I wish I would have waited to write that letter now, you were right on the money about what I need to say. I did let them know that the counselor was beyond her boundries and should have never even suggested that. I also let them know that they were not helping my daughter but enabling her by allowing her to use her past to excuse her drug use. And I let them know that my granddaughter was not a possesion but a little girl with feelings that had a right to live a stable life, but I sure wish I would have put everything in there that you put.

I did write the director of the facility and tried to write the place that they are acredited by but they are such a big association that you have to first email them about your complaint then they get back with you. They wrote me back saying that my concern was not putting a life in danger so they felt that they could not respond to it...I know....not only one life is in danger but two my granddaughters and daughters. I have done the best I can so now I am going to leave it up to God to take care of it because I am now to the point that it is starting to consume my life and I have to back off so I can take care of my kids that are doing so well and that I am so proud of. I am going to try and keep up with what my daughter is doing just for the fact that I am afraid that once she gets back in town that the first thing she is going to do is come and see her daughter and then I am going to have to deal with that. She has a habit of just coming up to the door and coming in when she knows that she is not allowed at that time. This time though I am going to call the police if she shows up so she will get the message that I am serious and maybe....just maybe....it will get through her thick head that if she wants anything to do with her daughter she is going to have to clean up and prove herself.
Sorry I went on but I really want you guys to know that you have helped me out so much. You have helped me take a stand for my granddaughter and myself and I feel strong enough to hold to things now instead of letting my daughter walk all over me. Thanks, Tammy
