Well said Hulalea...I see the same thing in my daughter and it breaks my heart because the addicts in our lives could have so much more but because of their attitudes they miss out on so much. My daughter has always been selfish even before she started doing drugs...but then on the other hand she would give her coat away to a stranger. I never understood that...she treated strangers better then she treated her own family, the people that were there for her and that loved her.
