First off: There have been some great posts here recently! I applaud everyone for your strength and wisdom.
I just want to send off a warning to the non-addicts. This week I had every penny of my life savings and checking wiped out of my account via online banking! Of course, the bank will give it back to me, but what an ordeal, not to mention emotional drama to go online and see my life savings gone! -and the pain of having to close all accounts, debits cards, online bill paying, automatic withdrawls etc.etc.etc. It's been hell.
Here's the warning: I have a suspecion that this is the work of my ex. He knows my banking and could figure out my user name and password pretty easily. Not to mention this so happens to take place reight after the child support court hearing and the fact that his 'meth passtime' is sitting on the computer for days figuring out codes etc.
Beware: if the addict in your life knows your banking information or could figure it out b/c they know you well enough -change it. Change all passwords -change banking institutes -verify every transaction you have done on your debit cards are really your purchases, ensure you have no missing checks. Beware and be cautious.
God Bless!
