I agree with Shari, my daughter also tries to manipulate us, she calls out of the blue wanting to talk to her 3 yr old, and my husband feels its ok, I dont, because my daughter always tells her she loves her, but she, at this point loves no one but herself. But I dont want the baby growing up thinking "that kind of love" is love. This has been a very hard mothers day for me knowing my daughter is an addict and out in the world who knows where, but my grandchild is safe with me, so I am thankful.The baby is having surgery on the 6th of June, at first the hospital insisted the "mother" had to sign so after going round and round with the legal dept. I finally got it approved for me to sign. Anyway, what I was getting at is my daughter called one day, was suppose to meet me at the hospital the next day to sign the paperwork, did she show? NOPE! Their kind of love is usually when coming down and things are notlooking so good, well, I am on to her manipulation and trying to find some way to get custody, I dont have the money for a lawyer, legal aid in my county says they dont handle custody cases, you would think when a mother has not seen her child since she was 13 months old, the court would just give her to me!! I hate this drug and the whole crap it causes!
