Right On Hula. He doesn't realize yet that he is an addict. Under the circumstances, which of course you do not need to play along, but if you asked him to quit, he wouldn't be able to and in time would see that he was addicted. They don't realize they are addicted right away. They cannot even admit they have a problem until they realize it for themselves. If you continue to walk on egg shells around him, and his life doesn't change, he will never believe he has a problem. He needs to feel the discomfort of not having what he wants because he chooses to use.
I will pray for you to make the right decisions for YOU. He has made his own choices and you cannot do anything about it. You can only control you and any children you have under the age of 18. Take your chance at a better life and turn him loose.
