How old is your daughter? ( I need to go back and read some posts.)
When my husband wasn't seeing his kids, 12, 9, 7-- I just let them know that he was sick, they knew it was drugs, and that he was acting different. Making different choices. I assured them that he still loved them but right now he had to focus on getting better. Kids are amazing, they just adapted. It was important thought that I didn't bad mouth him. I told them the truth. I didn't ever want them to think it was about them or that it was their fault.
I hope you don't bump into him. Was he an attentive and loving dad before drugs?
