Now, here are my questions...
1 - how can I tell if he is actually an addict?
what your saying, in your post, is that he is. he just won't admit it.
2 - how does this drug effect his brain?
if he keeps using, his brain will fry. the brain chemistry will change, and the brain matter (meat, actual brain) will begin to look like swiss cheese.
3 - how long does it stay in his system?
depends.
4 - can a standard drug test pick it up if he hasn't used in a couple weeks?
yep.
5 - is he a danger to my children?
oh yes. meth will become much more important then the kids, actually, they will start to become, 'in the way'. his physical actions may cause abuse, not intended of course, but unless you are willing to take that risk.
6 - what else do I need to know about this drug to keep my children safe?
take your kids and run away. forget child support. tell them daddy died, because if he is doing meth, it won't be long.
this sounds bad, and it is. no one stays up 3 days, has a pipe, and finds rocks in the desert. oh pleeezzeeee. run away. save your kids. don't look back.
