I have been surfing through the paranormal investigation sites and came accross your post. You seem to have had alot of replies so I would assume that you have the answer. I did not read all of them but thought I would post my personal opinion. I myself have in the past experienced exactly what you are saying. It seems you awake and cannot move, and if you try to speak nothing comes out of your mouth but you can hear your self calling within your mind. Also there is great fear, which if you think about it is quite normal because what is happening just is not what we are used to right. Anyway there are two explanations I know about. 1 is scientific which is called sleep paralisis, which supposidly is your body protecting you etc blah blah blah, LOL< but through what I do now I am more inclined in believing this one.
I dont know if you have heard of astral travel. Basically it is when you spiritbody leaves the physical. I am not going to go to deep into this and of course it is up to you to decide who or what you believe. But basically every nite you will leave your body but remain attatched to your pysical via a silver cord. Now what can happen is the astral body while returning to your physical sometimes does not realign correctly, and part of the consceousness returns to your pysical. You are hearing astral noises, voices vibrations etc via the astral self, but quite clearly through your pysical. Which of course is alarming. Because the real you if we want to call it that is not back in its body , you cannot move, It is just a case of trying to overcome the fear , ie try to relax to allow the astral to align again and the paralisis will go. Infact if you overcome the fear at that point, you could find a nice floating sensation, It will feel like your physical is floating although of course it is the astral. Then you can look down at your body and go wherever you want to. Of course you will return to the pysical after your journey. Have you ever been laying in your bed and felt you body jump, of feel like it is falling. Again this is the astral returning exstremly quickly. In some cases it can bruise the pysical. So you are not going mad it is just a perfectly normal thing. Although if you havent come accross this sort of thing before you might think I am mad lmao.
