Try The Red Lion Inn in Manningtree. I once lived there. It is very well populated with ghosts. Next door to the Inn is the house of The Witchfinder General. If the function room of the Red Lion still exists, stand under it at 12 minutes past midnight, any night. You will hear footsteps. At the top of the stairs that lead up from the old public bar, I once saw a dark apparition. My dog would not let me go up the stairs until the dark shape had gone; it was there for over 10 minutes just wavering. By the way, I was sober during all the events I witnessed. There are many more things that occured, if you are interested let me know. I have posted my e-mail address. Good luck, Ian.
