I used to live in East Dulwich, London SE22. When I was primary school age, my sister and I were awoken one night when the air in the room turned 'electric' and icy cold. A man dressed in a tweed suit stood in the corner of the room with his dog. The dog sniffed all around the room, including around us, although the man never moved.
Over the years we had a lot of things happen, i.e. objects disappearing/re-appearing, feeling a cat run by us, saying 'hello' for no reason to an otherwise empty room, and suddenly feeling scared with no warning, as well as hearing a knocking on the bedroom door - although it sounded more like the knocking was coming from inside the door (if that makes sense!).
Sometimes the bedclothes would be tugged or we could feel someone sitting on the end of our beds.
Our mother also saw 'The Squire' (as we called him) & our uncle saw a lady in white.
The house is still standing and I often wonder if the new occupants have experienced anything, but I can hardly write & ask them, as they'd think I was a nutter or else be 'spooked' themselves!
