Has anyone tried an investigation of Chislehurst caves? I have been down there many times and it does have a strange atmosphere to it. I have heard many stories about it being used during both world wars and of a murder by the underground spring. A jealous husband battered his wife to death and left her in the spring apparently. They use to allow ppl to sleep down there alone for a night to raise money for charity, i heard that the now manager slept the night with tape recorders rolling, to be found in the morning bleeding at unconscious. After playing back the tape, some very stange sounds were present. The manager remembers nothing which is why he carrys on working there. I also heard about a monk who tried to escape from something down there and was found dead with his fingers worn down where he had been scraping at the walls trying to get away. Worthy of further investigations i think.
