I know my replies about 4 months later but I'd be interested in looking around Guys cliffe if you manage to get permission ( unless you sneek in - eh eh! )
I've always wanted to look around this imposing ruin ever since my late father told me about the ghost he seen there as a young lad.
Apparently he had cycled from Leamington with his two sisters one summers day over to Guys' Cliffe and from just near the bridge at the Saxon mill he observed a figure of a woman with a green aura hurl herself off what he descrbed as the battlements of Guys' Cliffe. From what I have found out this relates to the ghost of Felice ( Sir Guys wife ) who did just this after his death but she is supposed to have leapt from a sandstone buff which is called Felices' Leap. Strangely neither of his sisters could not see the apparition he was pointing to at the time. My father also ventured down into the cave/dungeon on another occasion with friends and when he told me of this he said it was the scariest place he's ever set foot in - and that they didn't stay to long!
