Subject: In Between sleep and consciousness

Hi,

Lately as i have been drifting off to sleep i have been getting this overwhelming feeling(the best way to describe it would be that i feel like i am floating. I do not feel scared or happy, I definately know that i am not asleep but i am definately not awake.
On new years eve i told a mate and he said it was the beginnings of astral projection???? and that if i can guide it i can go anywhere i want. This interests me but also scares me a bit. However lately i have come to the beleif that this life we live is only the start of what is to come and that we have more install after we die..that really excites me!
But i am worried that if i investigate and look where maybe i shouldn't, i might open a can of worms i can't close. Is there much risk if i study and learn more? Is there any warnings or advise i should know about? and can anyone direct me to safe and correct sources of info?
