Subject: haunted jewelery

I would like to ask a question about haunted objects. There is a type of clarvoyancy where a person posessing a certain gift can touch an object, a piece of jewelery for instance, and detect if a spirit is attached to the item. Does anyone happen to know what the scientific name for this type of study is? Thanking you in advance for your consideration.
