the unknown is always thought of as evil because the human race is too ignorant and unwilling to accept possibilities beyond their own reasoning. The arrogance that the majority of the planet shows towards the universe is unreal, as the average human mind counts itself as the only intelligent species. Also, there is the fact that the unknown, whether it be ghouls and ghosts or alien activity, would not want to waste time and energy on a planetary species that can't stop warring with themselves. I hope this answers at least a single question that you have and gives you a line of thought to answer others.
