Silver and white fur brislted for a moment. Very few times had he been asked that. But then the silence was broken by a weak laugh. His large paws shifted in the snow.
"Had it a name, Balkar, I would give it to you," he replied. He sighed, opening his eyes and lifting his head a bit. Auds flicked about for a moment, searching for any danger. An Instinct. Then, out of habit, Brechin's eyes scanned the trees, searching for that godforsaken raven of Drekka's. A snort was sounded when Frarrow was not to be found. Had the raven been present, he would have said no more to Chijiresusu, and gone back to his resting. But his eyes were skilled in finding the Scavenger, for he had been in the Balkar camp since it was young.

Then his eyes wandered back to Chijiresusu. His black maw opened to elaborate on his response, not knowing whether she cared or not. If she wished to hear it, she could listen. If not, she could dismiss it as quickly as the words entered her ears.
"I have been unfortunate enough to be cursed with an illness. I've had it for years, and I shan't be rid of it for the rest of my life, however long it decides my life shall be," he explains, as though it were mearly a casual chat on a stroll. But then he sent a look to Chijiresusu that let her know the information was not to leave the conversation.
"I can still fight, hunt, and so on," he said. "But once in a while, it catches up to me." He set his head back down 'pon his paws.
