It smeared its metallic taste across his tongue as he released and let go quickly. He leaped back after striking. He noted her lack-of-reaction to the pain she must be feeling, but he also figured that she must have experianced worse. He had been very careful and precise not to really damage anything. Just enough to draw blood and cause pain in the she-wolf. Then she attacked him. This was what he had waiting for. This was what he had been hoping for. As her jaws lashed at him, he leaped aside easily, temporarily out of her range. Then he lunged at her side, which now was exposed to him.
