Subject: Unwanted Feelings

Seven.

Seven days had passed since the young female had called for a mate. She was deeply hypnotized with loneliness now, simply laying by her favorite creek and watching the water swirl around the rocks for hours at a time. Thoughts etched and scarred her mind. Does anyone like me? Does anyone even know I'm here? Does anyone care?

She ran through these questions over and over again, and the same answer tortured her mind: No. Things seemed hopeless now.
