I agree it is about time that the Board of Management (ie representatives of the clubs) took this issue on board and not only introduced a salary cap BUT enforced it. Instead of putting it in the too hard basket. It will only strengthen the league, allowing all teams to be competitive not just the teams with the boomin registered clubs behind them. I still can't fathom why a club would spend 1/4 million dollars + to win a competition worth $5000+? Especially when they aren't even using their junior players. Let's face it if we all had equal money WELL any of us could go buy whoever they wanted, this in my opinion defeats the purpose of having clubs that our juniors can come through and play in with pride.
