 From a Port point of view why shouldn't the game go ahead on the weekend when it was originally drawn to be played. There is a huge advantage to Corrimal should the match go ahead this week with families and supporters more than likely not willing to travel out mid week for a match that was scheduled to be played on the weekend as well as Corrimal already having an extra days recovery since Port played Sunday last week. Most fair minded people would agree that Corrimal had their chance to raise any concerns about the draw at the beginning of the year, the same as all other Tooheys league clubs, and for the blacks now to be put in decided unfair advantage would be wrong. Corrimal should be forced to honor their committments. Otherwise is a precedent set? Does that mean that the clubs with several reps in the Illawarra team such as Port, Thirroul and Dapto can defer the games that are drawn to be played while the rep stars are away. Lets remember its not Ports fault half of Corrimals squad is attending a wedding.
