I'm confused. Is this because you don't think creators should be able to make money off of their artistic creations? But then below you say you're honor-bound to buy stuff you download and like?

Then I don't think you are part of the syndrome. It doesn't sound like you think everthing you get should be free. You just like to make sure you like it first.

It doesn't have to be a majority for it to hurt the industry. Sure, anime companies are still gonna make a profit on most of their releases. But the reduction in sales hurts their ability to license new series and pay for good people to work on the releases.
