Ummm.... I'm going to respectfully disagree. I think the people who sub things for JAC would also disagree that what they do "takes no skill." ^_^;; If you meant, "Learning how to apply the translations to the video and encoding the result can be done by rabid monkeys," I'd agree. If you meant, "Timing the lines so that the subs aren't totally messed up can be done by a two years old boy," I'd disagree a little, but let it slide. If you meant, "I could translate from Japanese to English better than most digisubs I've seen using only a toenail clipping from my left pinky toe," I'd assume you were exagerating, because it takes knowledge of Japanese to translate, even if it's a poor translation job. But the generally accepted meaning of "digisub" is "digitally subtitling," which includes translation, timing, everything. Fundamentally, that's no different than what ADV does for the subtitles on their DVD releases, but I don't think you could claim that THAT takes no skill. ;)
