Granted, my experience was hurt by having to work 24 hours and being sick at the time. And I hadn't gotten much sleep the couple days before ACEN. But I also thought the event was very disorganized. The schedule in the program book was very wrong, and even though they continually printed out updated schedules, those were wrong too. Half the time I went to an event, I found out it had been rescheduled/cancelled.

Often the guests weren't even aware of the changes. They'd show up late because they didn't know they were supposed to be there, or they'd be there on time and then someone would come in and tell them that they were supposed to be somewhere else and this panel wasn't supposed to be happening.

And sometimes the line was so long that I didn't bother waiting. Another time, I got to the event and sat down in the room with everyone else that was waiting; then, 5-10 minutes after they were supposed to start, somebody came and told everyone they had to leave and go line up in the hallway. I ended up near the end of the line, didn't wanna wait, and left.

I imagine it would have been more fun if I hadn't had to work and if I had known more people, but oh well. I couldn't really afford to go without working. I'm still debating whether it was worth going, but I should probably wait till I've recovered before I pass judgement. Some of the panels I did manage to attend were pretty cool, and there were some pretty cool cosplayers.
