Summary: The day of the Crane and Hotchkiss wedding, two important people were missing.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Everyone was gathering at the church for this spectacular Crane and Hotchkiss Wedding. There was a galore of flowers up and down the aisle and around the altar.

You could tell by the limousines that surrounded the place that this was the event of the year.

Only the elite graced their presence for such a social event. President Clinton sent his regards, and wished the young couple well.

There was to be a huge reception following the wedding in downtown Harmony’s most elegant hall. This was a celebration that would definitely last all evening.

The mother of the bride, Rebecca Hotchkiss, walked around the church with the security making sure nothing went wrong. She had scared Theresa into staying away from Ethan, but she didn’t want to take any chances.

She was ready for any certain mishaps that might ruin the chances of Gwennie becoming top notch’s elite, Mrs. Ethan Crane.

“There’s no way that little fajita bitch will get into this church today.” Rebecca cursed to herself.

She looked at her watch. “Ahhh, 3:15! Almost time for the ceremony to start.”

Rebecca knocked on the door of the priest that would officiate. She was anxious to get things started, and she thought to herself, “The sooner, the better.”

“Hi Father Charles. We are about ready to get started. The guest are here, and the wedding party is in place. Where’s our groom? Is he nervous? She snickered to herself.

Father Charles cleared his throat before answering Mrs. Hotchkiss.

“Well, ummm, Ethan is not in here. I thought he was already standing at the altar.”

Rebecca stormed inside the priests chambers, shouted out Ethan’s name a couple of times while looking around.

“Nooooooo!” She screamed dropping to her knees.

The priest walked over to Rebecca and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

“I’m sure he’s around here somewhere.” He said. Let’s go out into the sanctuary, he’s probably waiting for his bride.”

Rebecca stood up, dusted herself off, and headed out of the room.

The priest went straight into the sanctuary, but Rebecca was heading to her daughter’s room.

“How am I going to explain this to my Gwennie? She will be so heart broken to see there is no groom. I know it’s that damn piñata of a girl…Theresa Lopez Fitzgerald. Well, I’m not going to let her get away with this. She’s going to pay. If it’s the last thing I do.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

High in the sky, flying over Harmony, two lovers sat together cuddled in each other’s arms. Anyone who looked at these two knew that they were definitely in love.

They couldn’t keep their eyes off one another. And their kisses were so passionate, that it made every couple on the plane very jealous.

“Off to Bermuda to marry the woman I love.” The young guy said to his lover. “I can’t wait to make you my wife. You will be the most beautiful bride at the whole resort.”

The young woman looked at her fiancé. Her eyes spoke uncertainty, but she knew in her heart that if she didn’t go through with this now, she never would, and she will never have the future she dreamed of having with him.

She was very unsure of what was going on. She knew that her mother would be furious with her for leaving Harmony so abruptly. But she loved him with all her heart. And she so desperately wanted to be his wife.

She had to do this. She didn’t want to hurt Ethan. She knew this was the right thing for the both of them.

She dropped her head toward the window.

“Gwen, are you okay? Don’t be afraid. We love each other. I guarantee that this is the right thing to do. Just trust me.” He said wrapping his arms around her small petite body.

“I know Craig. There is no other man I could ever love as much as I love you. I just feel awful running away from Harmony like this. I should’ve stood up to my mother, and I should’ve been honest with Ethan. I can’t imagine the look on his face when I don’t come down that isle today. He was more than my lover Craig. He was my friend.”

“I know Gwen. But Ethan will get over it. He never truly appreciated you any way. He was always so wrapped up in that young girl… what’s her name?”

“Oh, you mean Theresa. Yeah, he never admitted it to me, but I know he had feelings for her, and I know she had feelings for him, but they never would confess to it. Well, what’s done is done. I’m off to Bermuda to marry the man that I love, and good riddance to all the fine folks of Harmony…Good riddance.”

Gwen laid her head on Craig’s shoulder, and they both flew off into the sunset.

~BERMUDA~

“Oh Ethan! I can’t believe we are here! I can’t believe that we are going to get married. This is the most wonderful day of my life!” Theresa beamed.

Ethan swung her around and laughed. “I know Theresa. I’m glad you agreed to come to Bermuda with me to become my wife.”

All of a sudden there was worry in Theresa’s eyes.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Ethan said holding her tight.

“Well, how is Gwen going to feel when she finds out her groom is not waiting at the altar for her? Not to mention Mrs. Hotchkiss. I’m afraid to find out what she has planned for us. I’m scared Ethan.”

Ethan looked deeply into his young lover’s eyes with such comfort.

“Now you just leave Rebecca to me. There is no way I will let her, or anyone come between us. You are more than life to me, and I vow to protect you with all my heart.”

Theresa looked dreamily into his eyes. She could tell Ethan loved her and only her.

“I know Ethan. I can feel your love and protection. Never in my whole life did I dream my wedding day would feel this wonderful. I love you Ethan Crane.”

“And I love you soon to be Mrs. Crane.” Ethan kissed Theresa’s forehead, and hugged her tight.

“Now let’s go check in. And don’t you give Gwen another thought. She is miles away from here. There is no one here to ruin your perfect day. Soon I’ll make you my wife, and we will live in marital bliss for the rest of our lives.”

Theresa tightened her grip around Ethan’s waist and they headed toward the check in desk.

As soon as Ethan and Theresa stepped into the elevator heading toward room 330, a young couple walked into the resort arm in arm.

“I’ll get our luggage Gwen, go check us in.”

“Yes darling.” She said smiling very sexy to her soon to be husband.

When Craig walked up to the counter, the desk clerk was giving Gwen the key to room 329.

“Are we all set?”

“Yes Craig. We’re in room 329.”

“Great! Let’s go get settled in. I’m anxious to make you my wife.”

As the two walked into the elevator, Craig pulled Gwen into a very intimate hug.

“Gwen, relax sweetie. There is no mommy dearest, Ethan, or Theresa here to ruin your perfect day. Before night fall, you will be my wife.”

And they both shared a very passionate kiss as the elevator closed.
