b) Pipe fittings shall be to B.S.4346 : Part I or JIS6743 and to be
specially made for use with the tubing.

c) The tubing is to be jointed by 'Solvent Welding' method with socket in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions 'Sleeve' method for jointing pipes is not acceptable.

d) Bends in pipes of less than „w 40mm may be formed by filling the tube with sand, submersed the entire surface into oil which is gently heating up to approximately 130¢XC, bending the tube to the required shape and then cooling with water.


e) UPVC tubing to be secured with PVC coated galvanized steel pipe brackets of approved pattern. Brackets must be fixed in such a way so as to allow expansion and extraction of the tubing without causing any damage to the pipe.



7.5 Ductile Iron Pipe


a) Ductile iron pipe to be B.S.4772 classK12 for above ground with
cement lined internally and bitumen coated outside.


b) Fittings to ductile iron pipes are to correspond in pattern and
thickness with the pipes and be purpose-made if required.


c) Ductile iron pipes and fittings the to be B.S. 4772, cement lined
internally abd bituman coated outside and flanges.


d) The minimum weights of various sizes of pipes are to be as follows:-
