航機載250乘客紐約墜毀
美國航空公司一架A-300空中巴士客機在紐約皇后區墜毀，初步消息機上有246乘客，9個機組人員。 出事的美國航空公司編號587的客機，在當地時間周一早上九時過後，即本港時間晚上十時左右，由甘迺迪國際機場準備起飛，前往多米尼加時，在皇后區墬毀。報導稱，現場數座建築物著火焚燒，暫時不清楚機上有多少名乘客和機員。現場所見，冒起團團厚厚的黑煙，救援人員已趕往現場拯救和善後。 墬機後，紐約市所有機場，包括拉爪迪亞和紐瓦克機場隨即關閉。 今天(11月11日)剛好為911事件兩個月，暫時未知事件是否與此有關
