The audio probe picked up a momentary hint of sound. Curious, the soldier controlling the mech took aim with the 60mm Gatling cannon in its right arm and fired.

As Tsuishi watched from above, a line of explosive cannon shells began chewing up the ground. It was a random firing path--but one of the rounds slammed into the tunnel behind them (to the north), causing a deafing explosion and showering those in it with thrown earth and some shrapnel. Part of the tunnel behind them collapsed, and the earth above them rumbled omniously, before it became still once more. Then the mech extended it's sound probe and listened some more....
