Subject: Curiousity killed the cat (or so they say)

Hey, I'd just like to thank everyone for their comments from the last workshop! That was the first time I'd tried writing an absurd piece so I was very curious to hear the feedback (I don't think there's an 'u' in curious, correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, I was kind of wondering what thought process people go through when they're actually writing a story. Do you actually know how your story is going to finish and end? Do you have a set and structured plot/goal when writing? I'm thinking that in my stories, it's the logical pattern that seems to need some stronger foundation or clarification. Sometimes I actually think of stories (ex for assignments) but most of the time my constructed stories start from mere images that have popped mysteriously into my head. Anyways, I'd love to hear how people approach their stories. Oh, and I'm working on the haiku, but honestly at the moment I can't construct anything. (Unless you want it in Japanese)

Thanks again! Erin!
