>I think it's possible that some of us don't want to say anything because we don't think it really is our place to judge --well I often don't. Who am I to say whether something is good or not. I mean I can point out the obvious, but past that --who's to say. Some people just don't like reading about Canadian scenery (Adam), but that doesn't mean that it's written pourly or that it should be changed. Some writting is very hard to understand unless you are the targetted audience... and "We" aren't always. I agree, I think that everyone should give opinions and criticism, I just think we should be careful that when we offer things they have back-up. Just because "YOU" don't like poetry doesn't mean it's not good, or British humour, or Canadian scenery, or one-word titles...the list goes on. I just think everyone (INCLUDING myself) should make certain that they aren't saying things that are purely personal likes and dislikes... we have to remember that we do not all write the same -stylistically, and we are not all trying to target the same type of audience. I hope I've made some sense, I'm so bad at saying what I mean to say.
