What an answer Barbara....

I am a returner to Christianity and new to the JA....and if I BELIEVED for one tiny moment that what you have said is how we should live our lives then NO thanks - I am out and will return happily to my walk with Satan.

I look on the Bible as a history book giving examples of how we should live our lives. Whatever the Bible says about the slaughter of others (I am new to the Bible too....only remembering stuff I learned in Sunday School)...then surely that is contradicted by the commandment "Thou shalt not kill".

I would like to think that I walk alongside Jesus...and at times he may offer to carry me....though I haven't asked him to do this up to now.

It's not about picking out the pieces you don't like....surely it's about recognising what is and what is not appropriate to live our lives in today's modern world.

Or have I got this Christianity thing totally wrong????
