I remember the JA Edict coming from Noel that if we spent more than �40 a year on clothes (including shoes) we were serving Satan. I remember working it out in my head how I was going to be able to afford my daughter's shoes, as children need several pairs every year, and they are not cheap. I think my calculations left me that I would be able to spend no more than �5 a year on myself.

I can hardly believe how much distress these people caused me, it was a massive spiritual burden they placed on everyone. I can see now that it was all part of the brainwashing tactic, to keep us all at rock bottom.
