Not entirely true, but hard to detail the real reasons without re-opening a fight which we promised the webmaster we would leave well alone.

Clearly I don't feel that Brian represents any kind of challenge at all, which in itself is probably reason enough for Brian to feel irked by me.

Mike doesn't let me virtually run the forum (as Brian imagines), he just isn't interested in it anymore, so the forum has its own dynamic.

Brian would like me to be suppressed a bit more by Mike because he imagines that is the role of a moderator; it is certainly how Brian runs his own Group, where he excludes people who disagree with him and censors what others put.

That isn't my style, and I also don't believe that spreading lies about the JA is acceptable either. I do not share his opinion that anything which hurts the JA is fair game. That philosophical difference is at the root of our disagreement.

The fact is that he expected me to back him in a lie and I humiliated him by refusing to do so. But that is ancient history and as far as I am willing to recount it (except in private).
