Regarding my good pal Swami Ramananda, I beleieve he is one of 3 people empowered by Anandamoyi Ma to teach in her behalf, and the only westerner. He is 50 years old and lived in India from 1967 to 74 and was close to Bhagavan Das and Neem Karoli Baba's crew. Other than Brother Baktananda of SRF he is the most impressive being I have ever associated with. (Daya Mata and Ammachi are great also but I never associated closely.) He wrote a book recently called "Bliss Now" you can get on Amazon about his years with his Guru. He had an ashram in hollywood and palm springs but let them go, and now lives in Las Vegas. He has some show at one of the hotels there--some music and dance thing with many stars in it for world peace. This guy is joy filled and one of a kind. Tours around the country alot at retreat centers also. Also has a website somewhere if you search.

I just remembered another story...I was told Richard Wright was undecided about whether to go in the ashram or get married. Some girl was around he liked. He talked to Master. Master said "I can take it from you if you allow me." Richard married. I heard from the monks Master wanted him to be president. In his last days he told the monks at Encinitas, "I think now I'd let it go, looking back." This goes to show you really have to 'offer it up' as the Catholics, say to be sure. I had a big calamity recently and I knew SOMETHING big was coming but I did not offer it up, and particularly was stressed when it happened (car accident) and I felt if I had been attuned Master would have taken it. Neem Karoli Baba once said to a devotee that had one of these calamities, "you weren't taking my name, were you..."

Yogananda says in Mejda in the lecture part in the back of the book that karma raises its head in times of trial and stress. Makes sense.

Good satsang going here for sure.

Sundarar
