I heard a story from one of the Guru's disciples who was with him about 20 years while guru was in the body. That the Davis had put himself in the order of the line of gurus in one of his publishing and was pointed out by this disciple. Then Davis quickly had taken his picture out from the publishing. It seemed to be that Kriyananda was also encouraging Ananda members to treat him as their guru. I feel this kind of impulse comes only when a teacher is not qualified to understand the truth.

But Yogananda said that the line of gurus ends with him.
