The point is that in the lessons there it clearly states the position which the tongue is to be left in during Kriya.

If you are arguing that there is no direct reference to Kechari that is simply pedantic. It tells you where to keep the tongue, and that is not in Kechari. There is no need for a redundant explanation of what Kechari is, and a specific instruction for it's exclusion.

In the same way the lessons do not specifically instruct you not to perform Kriya whilst doing cartwheels down a hill. However they do tell you what asana to adopt, and that is sufficient to exclude the performance of cartwheels. Some things are so obvious they do not need to be spelt out.
