I still choose to disagree here. If Lord Krishna were an ordinary mortal in his previous births the scriptures would certainly have mentioned those incarnations. For example, the scriptures speak of the previous births of Jadabharatha, Narada Muni and others who became fully liberated in later lives. Ketch, perhaps Yoganandaji is referring to these individuals in the quotes you gave, instead of Lord Krishna, Rama etc.

Further the scriptures do speak of former incarnations of Krishna, such as those of a divine Fish, divine Boar, Lord Kapila, Lord Vamana, Lord Dattatreya, the four Sanas and others, all of whom were divine incarnations.
