Yes, there are fables in many countries about visits by Christ. But I don't know of any country with such a strong tradition of this story as Tibet.

I also believe that Tibet/India is the ONLY distant country that Yogananda said that Christ visited. To me, this makes the Tibet case quite unique, simply because I have trust in Yogananda and his intuition.

Also of interest is Yogananda's claim that the three wise men came from India. This would further indicate that Yogananda's claims of Christ in Tibet/India were based on intuitive understanding- not on documents- and that he used the Notovitch documents just for support.

I don't believe that there will ever be conclusive proof one way or the other- that Christ did or did not visit Tibet. Each of us must try to understand for ourselves, using our own God-given intuition. Because of my faith in Yogananda, and for other reasons that could never be considered proof, I believe that Christ did indeed spend time in India and Tibet. I don't feel the need to prove this, and I don't think that it would even be possible to prove.

"Jesus was an Oriental, by birth and blood and training. The Wise Men of the East, or East India, came to confer about Him when He was born, knowing Him to be one of the greatest message-bearers of Truth."
