I am not suggesting that all are unqualified admirers of the Paramahansa, but I take issue with the suggestion that most are detractors.

We know that P. Yogananda was acquanted with many of the surviving disciples of Lahiri Mahasaya, and paid them visits on his return to India. He appears to have had a very cordial visit with Swami Keshabananda, and also Lahiri Mahasaya's widow Kashi Moni Lahiri. He was of course familiar with many other direct disciples of Lahiri Mahasaya in his earlier life.

Some kriyabans may take issue with some aspects of P. Yogananda's work, as evidenced by the wearisome debates about the importance of Kechari which seem to crop up on a regular basis. However, I do not believe that should be assumed to be the majority position.
